Thanks so much, Faye. I loved seeing the pictures in the photo gallery on the website that you sent! Bryn has certainly gotten a lot of wonderful honors lately which he richly deserves.

I'm just annoyed that I didn't get an invite!!!! But I only usually get invited to embassy parties that are tourism related Sad

Am off to the Gianni Schicchi dress rehearsal tomorrow and will let you know what it's like

Best wishes

Faye,

I look forward to hearing about the dress rehearsal of Gianni Schicchi. ..look forward to seeing pictures of Bryn from the production. Il Trittico is the next Met Simulcast which will be shown the last of April.
From the pictures that were shown at The Barber of Seville simulcast this past Satuday, the Met's Gianni Schicchi will be set in the 1930's judging from the drawings of the costumes that were shown during intermission.

What do you all think about his goatee? It looks interesting in all these side shots...

So proud and pleased for him for all he has achieved. And loved the new style beard - shame if it's had to go for GS. Maybe it will be re-cultivated for Faenol! Heard the interview on Radio 3 on Tuesday and he says he has a great cast for all 4 nights. Just wish he'd hurry up and share the secret!

I am wondering if Christine Rice will be a guest at Faenol this year. She has a wonderful voice!

Christine Rice is starring in L'heure espagnole, which is the other piece in the double bill with Gianni Schicchi. She was utterly superb and a wonderful actress too

We also recently saw her in the trouser role of Nerone (Nero) in Handel's Agrippina at ENO where she gave a hilariously funny portrayal of a spoilt teenage brat who snorted cocaine and generally behaved very badly.
