Just had a look at the web site for The South Bank and Sweeney Todd is still not listed. Has anyone tried to book by phone?

http://www.sondheim.org/php/news.php?id=2286

"Despite the RFO telling me that tickets for Bryn Terfel's production of Sondheim and Wheeler's Sweeney Todd would be going on sale last Thursday afternoon and then changing it to Friday morning, ticket have still not materialised. One caller tried three times on Friday and each time the on sale time was put back. They are now saying that they will be on sale on Monday morning.

We shall see. The lengthy time delay since it was announced and the subsequent repeated changes do not inspire great confidence.
"

Sorry!

Ohhh at last...Thanks Björg!

I had tried to book by phone several times between Friday and Monday but they always said they were going to be on sale in 2 hours or the next morning and stuff like that, in the end I decided to give up and wait for them to update the RFH website Confused
Looking forward to it, I love Sweeney Todd! Very Happy

I am still laughing about Jeane saying the squirrel squibble looks like Scarpia's pet rat. LOL! Maybe Bryn drew the squirrel during the first intermission of Tosca. LOL!

...and welcome to Terfeliaid, Ornella. I love your newbie logo. Smile

Thank you Phyllis!! Very Happy

Casting news for Sweeney...it's been confirmed that Maria Friedman will be playing Mrs. Lovett
http://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/all-events/productions/sweeney-todd-16685
They added a couple of files of Bryn singing "Not while I'm around" and "Pretty Women"...It will be great to hear it live, I love that song but I've always thought it sounds a bit odd when he sings both parts Laughing
