I am living in a part of the world where nobody knows anything about rugby. However, visting Wales six times and living in a beautiful and scenic country myself, I understand the hiraeth.

I think there is a rugby championship going on. All I can say is: Heia Wales, heia Wales. (Something like Go Wales, go).

It is not well synchronized, but who cares when you got rugby, hiraeth, a Dame, two good-looking men and the guys from the Black Mountains.

When I see or hear anything like this, it makes me wish I was Welsh!!

Anyone out there in Wales willing to adopt an old English bird and make me an honorary Welsh lady? I am starting Welsh classes next week, so I'm making an effort!! And I have even joined a 'Singing for all' class!

I want to be adopted by a Welsh family, too! Smile Regardless of being 7th generation American and only a bit of Scots way back in my family tree, I fell in love with Wales! And this was February! When I visited North Wales, it felt like home. The Welsh are the warmest most friendly people it has ever been my pleasure to meet. I'm looking for to being able to visit again in my life time.

Thanks Bjorg.
We spent another long weekend in glorious North Wales last weekend - (we love it as we do your beautiful country which we have visited many times, the last time in June / July this year) - and will be shouting Wales on in the Rugby match v. Australia this afternoon! Laughing

To keep in touch try BBC Radio Cymru, in Welsh,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cymru/radiocymru/
Or BBC Radio Wales, in English
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/
"The LL files" gives a flavour of our sense of humour.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/sites/thellfiles/
and Rhod Gilbert will keep you up to date with the activities before the match.

I'll be glued to the telly from 2pm, myself. Andrew's got a ticket, but since He's going with 2 Aussie cousins and his English sister who doesn't even like rugby, I'm just hoping there isn't a family/international incident.

Come on Cymru!

Hi!

I am rooting for Wales!

Right now here in the U.S. , it's football, football, football!! (American football, that is). The football season, both college and professional, has begun here in the U.S.!

I have some TV channels that show rugby games being played in other countries, so I'll take a look to see if Wales rugby is being shown!

P.S. My great grandparents were born in that country near Wales...Ireland...the County of Cork!

Thank you!!!!!

I was at the match today, and as I entered the ground they started playing that song Very Happy
Only the audio though Wink

Well they lost but fought well...The Aussies' defense was impressive. This means that if they get to the quarter finals it will be probably be against South Africa
But first Japan on...Thursday?
Ok you can never know, but...it shouldn't be a difficult one!

This seems to be the 2007 version of World in Union.
Most seem to be rooting for Wales.
