On September 5, in the recital series and chamber concerts, at 17:00, at the Romanian Athenaeum, the bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, accompanied by pianist Malcom Martineau, took place.
Sir Bryn Terfel, one of the most acclaimed bass-baritones in the world, is awarded a Grammy Award and a Gramophone Prize winner, as well as a Classical Brit, recognized for his roles such as Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opera the Vienna State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as for recitals held throughout the world. Awarded with a Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Record - Richard Wagner's Ring of Nibelung at Metropolitan Opera, Sir Bryn Terfel is also known for his appearances in Sweeney Todd's production, along with Emma Thompson. On December 30, 2016, bass baritone Bryn Terfel received the title of Sir of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain at the annual New Year ceremony organized by the Royal British House
