|This Christmas we are offering audiences the chance to relive ten years of Royal Opera House magic in the West End's newest and most intimate theatre.
The Linbury Theatre becomes a cinema for a five-week festival, featuring screenings of great operas and ballets, and at special family-friendly weekend matinees children aged 5 - 15 go free.
Screenings will be introduced by an exciting range of guest presenters appearing in person, including Darcey Bussell who will offer expert knowledge and unique insights as she introduces the screening of Sylvia, starring herself and regular Guest Principal Roberto Bolle.
Other presenters scheduled to appear during the festival include Royal Ballet Principal dancers Edward Watson and Sarah Lamb, who will introduce screenings of The Winter's Tale and Manon respectively. Director John Copley will present a screening of his production of Puccini's La bohème, and Music Director of The Royal Opera Antonio Pappano will introduce Wagner's The Flying Dutchman starring Bryn Terfel.
More information about the Cinema Festival screenings and presenters can be found on the Royal Opera House website.
